July was a busy month! I got more edits on Cell Story (yay!), went to Salt Lake to write with the Janies (yay!), and attended San Diego Comic Con (more yay!).
What I’ve been working on: MY PLAIN JANE, of course. I’m so excited about this book! While in SLC, we wrote about 40,000 words, and we laughed so hard. I know the book doesn’t come out until 2018, but I am so excited for you to read it . . . in two years.
And I’ve been working on my Cell Story edits. These two books are so different! It can be really weird going back and forth between them, since one is really lighthearted and funny, and one is . . . not lighthearted. I mean, it’s called Cell Story (not the real title). It’s either about jail or biology.
What I’ve been reading: I finished one book in July and that was NIGHT by Elie Wiesel. It was truly amazing.
What I’ve been watching: Hubs and I have been rewatching BATTLESTAR GALACTICA. I didn’t know when we started it that I was going to see Bear McCreary at Comic Con, but wow, it’s been really cool. (Mr. McCreary is the composer for the absolute perfection that is the BSG score.)
What I’ve been yarning: Socks! And mitts! And I had to darn a bunch of socks.
What Katniss has been up to: I wanted to take a picture with her, but she wouldn’t have it. That’s why I take so many pictures of her while she’s sleeping.
What the Kippy has been up to: She was not a happy Kip that I left for another ten days, but she was happy to have me home. And mostly happy to have my hoodie home. This hoodie is the love of her life.
