Summer is almost over! (I think.) Less heat will make me very happy. But the speed of this year is definitely making me nervous. It’s going by so quickly! And I still have another book to write.
What I’ve been working on: I turned in (yet another) draft of Fallen Isles 1 to my editor, one I’m very proud of. We’re getting closer and closer to the final version of this book, and I can’t wait to start sharing it with people! While I’m waiting for my last edits on that book, I’ve started working on my first draft of Fallen Isles 2. I had a truly inspiring chat with a friend who just read book one, and we had lots of fun discussing my plans for book two. It’s amazing how much a friend’s enthusiasm can make me want to drop everything and write my face off.
What I’ve been reading: Sadly, only one book again this month (thanks, deadline), but it was a good one. I finished reading A TORCH AGAINST THE NIGHT by Sabaa Tahir, and I’m so excited to hear there will be more coming soon!
What I’ve been watching: Hubs and I have actually been watching a lot lately. We finished seasons 1 of SUPERGIRL, and STRANGER THINGS, and now we’re rewatching the previous seasons of ARROW and FLASH to catch up for the seasons that are about to come out on DVD.
What I’ve been yarning: I’ve been knitting so many mitts I can’t even. The purple ones went to a giveaway. The other two are for a special project I’m working on. I also finished a pair of socks, but I haven’t taken a picture of the whole things.
What Katniss has been up to: The normal.
What the Kippy has been up to: Kippy is making an effort to be the cutest.
